About POP Nursery
Pretty Odd Plants Nursery is all about plants that POP! We currently specialize in growing rare succulent Euphorbia and Dorstenia, two genera known for their explosive seeds and striking looks.
Our primary goal is to help folks build ethical collections. We believe that increasing the availability of unusual and infrequently-offered species will give growers of all skill levels a chance to build a unique and genetically diverse collection from the ground up, the same way ours was built. The more seed-grown plants that exist in cultivation, the less pressure there will be on wild populations under threat from poaching.
Our guarantee: every plant we offer is grown from our own seed. Any seed on offer is produced via careful exclusion from cross-pollination, and hand-pollinated from plants we own. To read more about this process, please visit Jared’s cultivation blog.

About Us
Pretty Odd Plants is run by the husband and wife team of Jared and DH, based out of San Diego, California. They are both passionate about their plants of interest, with a special focus on conservation through careful propagation of plants with provenance. They have or will have served on the board and as Vice President and President, respectively, of the San Diego Cactus and Succulent Society, and DH is a board member of the CSSA.
