Euphorbia actinoclada (Lav 12224) - Small
Euphorbia actinoclada is a spiny pseudo-medusoid native to Kenya. This species develops a reduced main stem similar to medusoid with arms radiating upwards from the central growth point along with a single main spine and wonderful variegated markings. The red and yellow cyathia can be quite showy during its flowering season.
Our seedlings were grown from seed collected from a cutting of a Lavranos collection plant (Lav 12224).
This species is rarely found for sale, especially of this provenance. We are currently unaware of others growing this species of this provenance from seed in the U.S.
The specific epithet of "actinoclada" is of Greek origin, meaning "radiating arms".
These are 1 year old seedlings in 2.9 inch tree pots. [ Click to view the listing for 2 year old seedlings]
