Euphorbia gareipina ssp. balsamea (WY 1202)
Euphorbia gariepina ssp. balsamea is a mesmerizing, shrubby, dioecious species found in Namibia. It readily branches and will form upright inflorescences which will dry out after flowering is complete. This species enjoys a very extended flowering season in our San Diegan climate, from spring through to early fall.
Our plants are grown from seed collected from plants of Webb & Young collection material (seed) from Central Namibia.
The specific epithet of "gariepina" relays where the species is found near the Gariep river in north-eastern South Africa, with subspecies balsamea occurring in Namibia.
These are 1 year old seedlings in 3 inch tree pots.
