Euphorbia glochidiata
Euphorbia glochidiata is a quite beautiful but very rare species of Euphorbia, native to Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia, .This species forms a shrub up to a meter or so tall with blue variegated stems and a forked main stem, as is also found on Euphorbia schizacantha.
This species is typically sold from cutting, which forms more atypical growth patterns with branching at random points along the stem versus a more typical shrub-like shape. Euphorbia glochidiata is self-fertile, though will not reliably set seed.
The specific epithet of "glochidiata" is of latin origin, meaning "having hair-like barbs"
These are 1 year old seedlings in 3 inch tree pots.
