Euphorbia bubalina
Euphorbia bubalina is a sparsely branching shrub from native to the Eastern Cape of South Africa. This species develops long leaves in the growing season along with groupings of large green cyathia which sit atop long peduncles. E. bubalina can be quite showy in its flowering season. We grow this species in full sun in San Diego, and can easily be grown in ground in similar climates.
The specific epithet of "bubalina" is derived from the latin "bubal", meaning Buffalo. This name is derived from E. bubalina's locale, near the Buffalo River in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
These are 1 year old seedlings in 3 inch tree pots.
